Mother of Eden original painting

Mother of Eden original painting

16'' x 20''

oil on panel

This painting was made to honor all the plant medicines of the world. The Mother of Eden is a commentary of the Garden of Eden and all the sacred psychoactive plants that are in the world. Instead of casting them out, this painting is an invitiation to reorient our relationships with these sacred plants so that they may heal us. The Woman in the center is representing Mother Mary and the Santo Daime tradition which used Ayahuasca as a sacred sacrement within Christian contexts.

The ouroboros, or the snake eating its tail is representing the cyclical nature of time, and an emphasis to rewrite our story with these medicines on a collective scale.
